Ah! It's literally Winter Vacation time for most people. For all the college students that have safely arrived home, start partying! Haha, and for all those High School kids that haven't got out yet and have to wait till next week..SUCKER! lol Just kidding, but tonight I'll be off on a plane flying to Vancouver then Hong Kong then to Singapore! Exciting!!~
Hopefully everyone will have a safe and happy holiday with their friends and family. I'm excited for Singapore but that meant I would be missing Christmas and New Years here...

Well I would definitely want to start off my blog saying: Happy Birthday! to Angela Li, Ivy Goh (mom), Casey Li, Shirley Chan, and Grace Wu.
Now, I actually have no idea why I have this sudden urge to write about friendship, maybe it's because I felt really apologetic towards them for not going to anyone's birthday party. Or, maybe it's because sometimes I want to remind many people that we forget what friendship mean. So where else to find out what friendship means..other then:
1. From Dictionary.com: n. 4. One who supports, sympathizes with, or patronizes a group, cause, or movement: friends of the clean air movement. 5. Friend A member of the Society of Friends; a Quaker.
2. From Urbandictionary.com: A real friend is someone who: a)it's okay to fart in front of. b)you don't mind talking to on the bus for atleast 20 minutes. c)can borrow $5 and never has to pay it back d)you'll actually call up do stuff.
3. From Cecilia Mark: 1. Person(s) that you can be your ideal self with even through countless arguments and rivalry.
As you can see I didn't include the first 3 from dictionary.com because it was boring but 4 and 5 seems about the basics. I extremely like the ones from Urbandictionary because they made me smile, and that's a good thing because I instantly thought of someone for each.

I know this is such a random blog post, but tonight I did my homework thoroughly not in like 10 minutes that it would've been, but in an hour because I reread the passage and wrote notes for class. Crazy. So excuse my jumpy/choppy comments while I'm blogging... Oh right, I was talking about friendship. MANY OF US TAKE IT FOR GRANTED. Although we read books and watch TV shows like Bob the Builder and Gossip Girl. Movies like Mean Girls, and The Clique. We still don't learn! Like for example, before the school year ended in June, you were best friends. You come back in September, thinking it'll be the same and everything goes upside down and your best friend is talking about you. I don't know if their under the influence or are they just immature. I am probably immature myself because I'm writing about this, but I suddenly want to point that out.
I have really close friends (CJEC, Angela, Lena, Casey, Kristy, Nicole, Grace, Shirleys, Yadayadayada...) and I have people I dislike (Victoria, Vivian, dude that sits next to me in English)..but i try not to make a big deal about it!(; Brain farts are insane..I literally have no idea what to write...but I'll try to think of a song appropriate for the blog!
Ah, got it! We Rock from camp rock! Since I was talking about immature people, only Disney Movies can teach you! (no offense because obviously I still watch Disney Movies a lot...) Also, Camp Rock not only teaches about Friendship, it includes Honesty, Determination/Focus, and i don't know...

Today my gym class had to attend a event in our school called the "HIV/AIDS Quilt". Even though it was my third year listening to the Heart Club speak about HIV/AIDS, I was still so interested. I feel sad though because while I was listening to the information and speeches, quilts made by loved ones for their friends and family surrounded us in the small gym area. I felt like crying when one of the speaker finished, his story was so sad.
The speaker (I've forgotten his name, lets call him bob) told us about his girlfriend and passed out a photo of her and showed us a picture of their dog. Bob said his girlfriend was diagnosed with HIV at age 20, and when he met her she was 30, which meant she was infected with HIV for 10 years already. While they were dating, she told him that she was HIV Positive. Bob is HIV Negative, and even though he was afraid he really loved her. Then I guess another 10 year passed and it was around new years time. In the car, Bob's girlfriend was throwing up and entered the hospital 4 days later. This was the first time she was hospitalized since finding out about her HIV. Bob's girlfriend was in the hospital from January 4th till March, and he was there everyday for hours hoping she'd get better. He ended his speech telling us that he is still HIV Negative, his girlfriend died around 2 years ago, and the one living thing in this world he loves most is their dog. That dog originally belong to his girlfriend, then both, and now his. I thought it was so touching.
I would like to have a moment of silence for all the friends and family that has died due to HIV/AIDS...the only way to stop the spreading of HIV would be to raise awareness.
Besides that, I guess I should recommend another song. This song is a favorite of mine, it's by Celine Dion. Title is "Because you loved me". If you ask me this is a pretty appropriate for my blog today, right? "I was blessed because I was loved by you... You gave me strength cause you believed"
